In the Spring of 2018, Milenko was invited to hold a retrospective exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art is Ljubljana: WAVES - 50 years of Milenko Matanovič’s Art. Works were displayed from the OHO and Pomegranate years, selections of his ‘art fitness’ watercolors and inks, as well as six new installations by Milenko. Returning to his early principle of creating something original for the museum spaces, he created these using simple materials: rocks (left over from the previous exhibit, plywood, cables, metal rods, string, tar paper, Christmas lights, and chopsticks. One wall consisted of the image of a dragon, the symbol of Ljubljana, and was created from the fingerprints of over 70 of the visitors to the exhibit.
